Where the counts come from. Every number on this page is read from AppRanks' own daily crawl of the public WordPress Plugin Directory catalog using neutral, cookie-free anonymous browsers — never from a marketplace API that reports sponsored or personalised placement.
Refresh cadence. Once every 12–24 hours per platform, in a rolling window. A figure here can therefore lag the live marketplace by up to a day.
What is excluded. Delisted apps drop out of the totals at the next crawl. Region-locked listings that the anonymous browser cannot reach are not counted. "Categories" counts only listing categories — navigational and filter-only nodes in the marketplace tree are excluded.
Average rating. An unweighted mean across every app on the platform that publishes a rating; apps with no rating are omitted rather than counted as zero.
