Methodology notes

• Where the counts come from. Every number on this page is read from AppRanks' own crawl of the public Salesforce AppExchange catalog using neutral, cookie-free anonymous browsers — no sponsored slots, never from a marketplace API that reports sponsored or personalised placement.
• Refresh cadence. Each marketplace is re-crawled in a rolling window against the per-marketplace refresh targets on the methodology page (linked below), so a figure here can lag the live marketplace by up to one refresh.
• What is excluded. Delisted apps drop out of the totals at the next crawl. Region-locked listings that the anonymous browser cannot reach are not counted. The "Categories" figure counts listing categories only; the directory above also links the marketplace's group pages (such as a parent group that collects several leaf categories).
• Average rating. An unweighted mean across every app on the platform that publishes a rating; apps with no rating are omitted rather than counted as zero.
• Full methodology. Documented on the methodology page.
