What the integration does
Connect your Zendesk in minutes: enter your subdomain, approve the OAuth consent screen, done. From then on, Thread's CSMs and AI agents can ground their work in your customers' real support experience:
Ticket history for an account — recent tickets for the Zendesk organization linked to a Thread account, newest first.
Full conversation threads — a ticket's comments, with internal agent notes clearly labeled so they are never quoted outward.
Automatic account matching — Thread accounts resolve to Zendesk organizations by CRM id, exact organization name, email domain, or a contact's email, with a manual override in settings when you want to pick yourself.
Data access disclosure
Thread accesses Zendesk read-only, authorized via OAuth with the read scope. It reads tickets, ticket comments, organizations, and users (names and email addresses, used for display and account matching).
Thread never writes to Zendesk — no tickets are created, updated, or replied to.
There is no background sync: data is fetched on demand, only when a CSM or Thread agent is working the account.
OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. Disconnect at any time from Thread's connectors page, or revoke access in Zendesk Admin Center (Apps and integrations > APIs > External OAuth clients).
