Opt-Out for Google Analytics (DSGVO / GDPR)
The Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO, EU-DSGVO, GDPR) stipulates that a site visitor must have the option to object to the collection by Google Analytics. Until now, this was only possible via browser addon, or complicated JavaScript code embedding on the own website. With this plugin, this is child’s play and the user also has the option to undo the objection. Features Support for Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Full integration of the new WordPress DSGVO / GDPR features Weekly check whether the settings are still data protection compliant! Compatible with Google Tag Manager. NO other plugin needed to use the Google Analytics code on the website. This can be integrated directly by this plugin. Site visitors can deactivate the Google Analytics tracking for themselves and also activate it again afterward. Link text for the activation and deactivation link can be changed individually. A popup can be set up, which appears after clicking the link. The UA-Code or GA4-Code can be entered manually or read out automatically by a Google Analytics tracking plugin (see compatible plugins). HTML5 Local Storage Fallback: If a user deletes his cookies, the opt-out cookie can be restored if the local storage was not additionally deleted by the browser. WordPress Multisite compatible. Fully compatible with Gutenberg Editor. Compatible with: Advanced Custom Fields, WPML, Polylang and Loco Translate Also works on the smartphone, provided that the browser supports cookies. Visual customizations through custom CSS codes that are loaded only together with the shortcode (optimized loading time). Translation for DE and EN available. Full support for PHP 8.1 Regularly check whether the settings are still data protection compliant! Ever edited the privacy policy page and accidentally deleted the opt-out shortcode? Recently deleted the plugin for Google Analytics tracking, then reinstalled it and forgot to re-enable IP anonymization? To ensure the highest security, the plugin regularly checks the settings. Should a setting no longer fit, then an error message appears in the WP Admin (Backend / Dashboad) or you will receive an email. You can freely choose the frequency of the check. The following intervals are available: daily, weekly or monthly. The following settings are checked: Opt-Out function enabled Opt-Out shortcode present on the page Page with the shortcode publicly available (published and no password protection) Valid UA-Code found (only the formatting is checked) IP anonymization enabled (Works only in conjunction with a compatible plugin or the tracking code is stored in the plugin) Integrated compatibility with the following plugins It is not a requirement to use the listed plugins! The Google Analytics Opt-Out Plugin is also compatible with other plugins and can be used even if the Google Analytics code itself was inserted. With integrated compatibility, we make work easier because the current UA-Code is automatically read out and kept up to date. This means that it does not have to be corrected manually. GDPR Compatible Plugins CookieYes (script blocking via plugin integration). Cookie Notice & Compliance (Hu-manity.co) — head tracking blocked in PHP until cookies are accepted. Any custom or third-party consent tool — use the hooks below (no core code changes required). Consent integration hooks (custom / third-party cookie plugins) analytify_consent_server_blocks_tracking — return true when your plugin knows the visitor has not consented (PHP), so Analytify does not print gtag in the head. Example: read your consent cookie in the filter callback. analytify_consent_defer_gtag — return true to load GA4 gtag only after consent in the browser (opt-in; default off for all sites). analytify_consent_ready_dom_events — array of document event names that trigger deferred gtag (defaults to analytifyConsentGranted only). Add your CMP’s event names (e.g. after the user accepts cookies). analytify_consent_deferred_js_loader_name — name of the global function (default analytifyLoadGtagAfterConsent) your front-end can call to load gtag immediately after consent. analytify_consent_deferred_expose_global_loader — return false to stop registering the global loader (events only). Legacy: analytify_ccv_consent_event_name — merge one extra event name (string) into the deferred event list. After consent, custom scripts may run: document.dispatchEvent(new Event('analytifyConsentGranted')); or window.analytifyLoadGtagAfterConsent() when the global loader is enabled. When CookieYes is active, Analytify outputs Google Consent Mode v2 defaults (denied until the CMP updates consent) before loading gtag.js. Turn off with analytify_gtag_consent_defaults_enabled or analytify_output_gtag_consent_defaults if your CMP already prints the same defaults. We make Google Analytics look EASY. You know all about Google Analytics and love the data it provides, but wouldn’t it be nice if there is a tool to make managing all of that complex information simpler? You’re in luck. Google Analytics Was Never This Fun In WordPress before. Following is a list of Testimonials you must read them once. Testimonial # 1 Great way to understand your audience I’ve been using the Pro version for quite a while. I really love how it gives me in-depth information about each individual post. That kind of info is hard to navigate to in Google Analytics even if you’re relatively familiar with it already. I discovered all kinds of new things about how people land on my site and how they engage with it just by activating the plugin and looking at the information it provides in the Dashboard and on individual posts. The author is also an official Google analytics Partner, which I think speaks volumes. Well done all around, highly recommended! Testimonial # 2 Best Google Analytics Plugin This is something that clients really love as they of course want to see traffic to their site. However many do not want to log into google analytics and work their way through its rather complicated reporting modules. This gives all the headline stuff and more. What’s really neat is that it does it for every single page as well. So you can really see what’s going on for a particular post. So a google search for X led to this page. It also has great realtime reporting for the paid version. I had one small issue and the developer responded and addressed it immediately. Very impressed. It’s become a default plugin. Testimonial # 3 Excellent Integrations with Google Analytics Many of my clients don’t want to view analytics outside their dashboard. This plugin integrates GA beautifully within the WordPress admin panel. I suggest you give it a spin. The developers are also very nice and dedicated to the plugin, which goes a long way. Testimonial # 4 Outstanding support and product Besides thinking the plugin is wonderful, I am equally impressed with the support team. I had issues and they emailed back and forth to resolve my issues and even update the plugin for me. I highly recommend this plugin which has been very beneficial to my analytics, but just as important, I appreciate the support in resolving my issue in a very timely manner. You may buy the premium version to support the development.
