Viewing and Managing Appointments Go to Bookster → Calendar in your WordPress dashboard You’ll see all appointments in calendar format Click any appointment to view details or make changes Use the view buttons at top to switch between day/week/month views Use filters to show appointments based on agents or booking status Creating a Manual Booking (For Walk-Ins or Phone Bookings) Go to Bookster → Calendar Click the + New Appointment button (or click an empty time slot) Select the service and staff member Choose date and time Enter customer information (name, email, phone) Select payment method Click Create Appointment Customer automatically receives confirmation email Troubleshooting Booking calendar not showing on my page Check 1: Verify the shortcode Make sure you added [bookster_booking_form] exactly (with square brackets). Check 2: Clear cache If using a caching plugin, clear your cache: WP Rocket → Clear Cache or similar. Check 3: Theme conflict Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (Twenty Twenty-Five) to test. If it works, there’s a theme conflict. Customers not receiving email confirmations Check 1: Email settings Go to Bookster → Integrations → Email tab and confirm email notifications are enabled. Check 2: Check spam folders Ask customers to check spam/junk folders. Add your domain to their contacts. Check 3: WordPress email issues WordPress email can be unreliable. Install an SMTP plugin like YaySMTP to improve email delivery: 1. Install YaySMTP plugin 2. Connect it to Gmail, SendGrid, or Mailgun 3. Send a test email to verify Check 4: Test with yourself Create a test booking using your own email to confirm emails are sending. Time slots not showing as available Check 1: Working hours configured Go to Bookster → Settings → Schedule and verify hours are set for the day in question. Check 2: Agent availability If using staff members, check Bookster → Agents and verify the agent works on that day. Check 3: Minimum advance notice Check Bookster → Settings → General → Restrictions, if you require 24-hour notice, today’s appointments won’t show. Check 4: Service duration If your service is 2 hours but only 1 hour remains before closing time, that slot won’t appear. Double bookings happening This shouldn’t happen with Bookster. If it does: Check 1: Multiple admin users If multiple people manage bookings, ensure everyone refreshes the calendar before creating appointments. Check 2: Contact support If this persists, contact Bookster support with specific examples. This feature is available in the Platinum version. 📅 Calendar Insertion Settings To insert the calendar form into some content or post use the insertion area that will appear below the editor when editing contents. Calendar Views: The views that will be included in the event calendar. Default View: Which of the calendar views will appear as default. Start day of the week: The start day of the week (Ex: Sunday, Monday, …). CSS Style: Select one of the CSS styles available to render the calendar. Palette Color: The palette color used for the events in the calendar. Allow edition: Check this box if the event calendar will allow edition on the public website. Other buttons: Select the buttons that will be displayed on the top of the calendar. Number of Months for nMonths View: Number of months shown at the same time in the nMonths View. Other parameters for nMonths View: Other parameters for the nMonths View (more info below). This type of tooltip is available for the month, week and day views. The n-Month view has a different type of tooltip panel. To enable the tooltips, the parameter “showtooltipdwm” must be set to “true” (or enable it by checking the checkbox in the visual configuration). The tooltips are already enabled for this sample; to enable the tooltips you can do that by checking the tooltip checkbox in the visual configuration or just by setting parameter “showtooltipdwm” to “true”, this is also explained in other demos. Only two CSS rules should be added to the styles to get this configuration. It will work with any selection of parameters if you are using one of the mentioned views. There are some styles that can be used to show/hide/customize the title, location, description and time: these styles are the CSS classes named “bubbletitle”, “bubblelocation”, “bubbledescription” and “bubbletime”. In the “viewWeekDays” parameter, each number in the array represents a weekday from Sunday to Saturday. An zero means that the weekday is disabled (not shown) and a 1 means that the day is enabled (shown). The 24-hour clock is enabled as default; if you prefer to use the 12-hour clock then just set the parameter “militaryTime” to “false”. First you should enable the “nDays” view and then set the number of days to view on each calendar page. The parameters are viewNDays:true for enabling the view, numberOfDays:10 for setting the number of days and viewdefault:”nDays” to make it the default view if needed. In the “Days”, “nDays” and “Week” views you can select the range of hours to be shown be setting the start and end hours. Three parameters must be specified for this: the start hour hoursStart:8, the end hour hoursEnd:17 and the height of a single hour cell cellheight:60. Hours are in military time, so 17 means 5:00pm.
