Akia Web Chat
Akia Web Chat is a WordPress plugin that enables intelligent chat functionality on your website through the Akia service. This plugin acts as an interface to connect your WordPress site with Akia’s conversational AI platform, designed specifically for the hospitality industry. Key Features: Easy integration with Akia’s chat service Simple configuration through WordPress admin settings Automatic chat widget loading on your website Admin notifications to help you configure the plugin Simple “Configure Akia” setup flow External Services This plugin connects to Akia’s external service to provide chat functionality on your website. The chat service is required for the plugin to function and is used to display the interactive chat widget to your website visitors. What the service is and what it is used for: This plugin connects to Akia’s chat service (https://sys.akia.ai/) to provide an interactive chat widget on your website. The service enables real-time chat conversations between your website visitors and Akia’s conversational AI platform. What data is sent and when: During plugin configuration (admin only): Your website’s origin (domain) is sent to https://sys.akia.ai/website_chat_token_exchange to establish a secure connection and obtain an authentication token. This happens only when you complete the “Configure Akia” setup flow in the WordPress admin panel. On your website’s frontend (when chat is enabled): The authentication token (stored securely in WordPress options) is included in the URL when loading the chat JavaScript from https://sys.akia.ai/website_chat_js/{token}/chat.js. This script is loaded on every page view when a valid token is configured. The chat JavaScript itself may collect and send visitor data (such as chat messages, page URLs, and other interaction data) to Akia’s servers. Please refer to Akia’s Privacy Policy for details on what data is collected by the chat service.
