What the service is and what it is used for: This plugin connects to Akia’s chat service (https://sys.akia.ai/) to provide an interactive chat widget on your website. The service enables real-time chat conversations between your website visitors and Akia’s conversational AI platform. What data is sent and when: During plugin configuration (admin only): Your website’s origin (domain) is sent to https://sys.akia.ai/website_chat_token_exchange to establish a secure connection and obtain an authentication token. This happens only when you complete the “Configure Akia” setup flow in the WordPress admin panel. On your website’s frontend (when chat is enabled): The authentication token (stored securely in WordPress options) is included in the URL when loading the chat JavaScript from https://sys.akia.ai/website_chat_js/{token}/chat.js. This script is loaded on every page view when a valid token is configured. The chat JavaScript itself may collect and send visitor data (such as chat messages, page URLs, and other interaction data) to Akia’s servers.
