How Knowledge Base Dashboards & Reports works
The package contains reports that help you analyze various usage metrics for your Salesforce Knowledge articles, such as which articles are most popular according to views and ratings, how many articles have been created, updated, or published recently and by which user, how frequently the knowledge base is being searched, and which articles are associated with cases.
If the packaged reports don't provide what you need, create your own custom reports using the Knowledge custom report types. All Salesforce Knowledge organizations have five custom report types to choose from.
The three packaged dashboards display charts or components that correspond with packaged reports so that you can assess the usage for your knowledge base at a glance. You can also create a custom dashboard to use any custom reports you may have created.
