Webcam/Screen/Mic Recorder for Video Comments and Forms
Add browser-based webcam video, microphone audio, screen recording, photo and screenshot capture to WordPress comments and custom forms. Visitors can preview a source, record media, review the result and submit it alongside a comment or form entry. Key Features Form and Comment Integration: Add recording fields with a shortcode, or show selected capture actions directly in a comment form. Capture Types: Webcam video, microphone audio, screen recording, webcam photos and screenshots. Preview and Review: Display source availability and permission guidance, switch between available cameras or microphones, then review, discard, retry or accept a result. WordPress Attachments: Accepted media is uploaded as a WordPress attachment with available browser media information. Video Share VOD: Optionally process and publish accepted video and screen recordings through Video Share VOD. Custom Workflows: Suitable for comments, paid questions, messages, custom forms and reaction recording. Works with PaidVideochat – Video Services Site. Multiple Items: Configure whether a comment or form can collect multiple captured items. Admin Test Helper: Create, open and remove a standard video-comments-test post with comments enabled from the Test Video Comments settings tab. Community Feed Recordings: Optional BuddyPress and BuddyBoss integration lets members capture video, audio, screen recordings and photos, add an optional caption, and publish a dedicated activity update. Note: Recordings are saved in formats supported by the user’s browser (e.g., MP4, WebM). Please be aware that some formats may not be compatible with all browsers. The recorder uses current browser media APIs for video, audio, screen and still-image capture. Transform your WordPress site by enabling rich, multimedia user interactions with this intuitive and versatile recording plugin. The existing HTML5 Videochat / Cam Recorder integration remains available for established workflows. Sample integration: Paid Questions / Messages forms can include recordings in PaidVideochat – Video Services Site plugin. Use [videowhisper_recorder_inline field="recordings" add_field="1"] for the selected app in WordPress comments, paid-question/message or other custom forms. The bundled browser adapter sends accepted media to a local WordPress REST endpoint, then dispatches a videowhisper-recorder:saved browser event for custom integrations. Enable the optional community-feed integration from Settings > Form Media > Integrations when BuddyPress or BuddyBoss is active; it publishes media with an optional caption as a dedicated activity update. Settings adapt to the selected recorder application. With the browser recorder selected, Settings > Integrations can show enabled Video, Audio, Screen Capture, Photo and Screenshot controls on comments/forms. Use mode="audio", mode="screen", mode="photo" or mode="screenshot" for one enabled type, modes="video, audio" for a subset, and direct_preview="1" to skip the introductory Continue screen. The browser recorder adapts its camera presentation to landscape or portrait use, supports available camera and microphone switching, and provides a review step before upload. Support Display the selected recorder with [videowhisper_recorder_inline field="recordings" add_field="1" label=""]. Accepted browser captures create a WordPress attachment and dispatch the videowhisper-recorder:saved event for custom form handling. When field is supplied, the integration also maintains the field value for the submitted recording references. Existing HTML5 Videochat / Cam Recorder integrations remain supported. VigilanTor
Tor is an invaluable tool for protecting free-speech, privacy, and preventing surveillance but when abused it can protect the identity of malicious users and make tracking their activities more difficult. “Hackers” might use Tor to run security scans on your website or spam websites with comments and fake registrations. The purpose of this plugin is to give you the power to block certain Tor activity from your WordPress site. Features include: Block Tor users from registering on your site Allow Tor registrations, but flag them for review Block logins from Tor (useful for preventing brute force attacks and securing your admin panel) Block Tor users from posting comments to your site Block spammy pingbacks & trackbacks from Tor IP addresses Block Tor users from your entire WordPress site Permit access after solving a CAPTCHA (requires hCaptcha for WordPress plugin) Real-time blocking using the Tor DNS exit list service Near real time blocking using a cached blocklist which can be updated every 10 minutes or more Custom blocklist support. Block IP addresses or host networks. Statistics to show how many Tor actions have been blocked by this plugin This plugin is compatible with BuddyPress, the popular Login With Ajax plugin, and hCaptcha. If there is a feature missing that you would like, request it! If you opt to use the real-time blocking, each IP address looked up is cached for 5 minutes for efficiency. The Tor IP lists that are downloaded only contain “exit node” IP addresses so it is relatively small and the list is searched using a binary search so the plugin is very fast! This plugin also adds two shortcodes which can be used to display specific content to Tor or non-Tor users. Shortcode usage: [tor_users]Hi, I see you're using Tor. I support privacy and free-speech too! Visitors not using Tor will not see this message.[/tor_users] [non_tor_users]Defend yourself against tracking and surveillance. Circumvent censorship. Visit torproject.org to learn more. Visitors already using Tor will not see this message.[/non_tor_users] Support Tor Tor is a great thing. If you agree, consider volunteering, donating to the Tor project, or expand the Tor network by sponsoring a Tor relay which will be maintained by the plugin author. Support this plugin The author of this plugin values Tor as well as the security of your website. Considerable effort went into the development of this plugin as well as the code and infrastructure that provides you with the up-to-date exit lists. You can support this plugin by installing it, rating it positively, donating to the author, or sponsoring a Tor relay which will be operated by the plugin developer in your honor.
