SlideVerse – Slider, Carousel & Image Slider Blocks for Gutenberg
SlideVerse is a responsive WordPress slider plugin for the Gutenberg block editor, built on the trusted Swiper.js engine. Create touch-enabled, mobile-friendly sliders and carousels — hero sliders, image sliders, post carousels, logo sliders, testimonial sliders, video sliders, free-form content sliders, and before/after image comparisons — directly inside the block editor, without writing a single line of code. From a simple image carousel to a dynamic blog post slider, SlideVerse gives you native Gutenberg blocks and a full set of responsive design controls to build exactly what you need. Visit the SlideVerse website for documentation and demos. Slider & Carousel Blocks Included SlideVerse adds nine purpose-built slider blocks (plus two helper blocks) to the editor: Base Slider & Hero Carousel Build hero and banner sliders from a pre-built slide structure — title, subtitle, description, and a call-to-action button over a background image. Add a colour overlay, set horizontal and vertical content alignment, choose a responsive slide height, and pick from the full range of Swiper transition effects. Image Slider & Photo Carousel A versatile image carousel for galleries, portfolios, product shots, and brand assets. Turn on a click-to-enlarge lightbox gallery, show captions below the image or as a hover overlay, add hover tooltips, and give each image its own link with an open-in-new-tab option. Flexi Content Slider Build each slide out of any Gutenberg blocks — images, headings, buttons, groups, or columns — using the companion Flexi Content Slide block. Choose Auto, Fixed, or Minimum slide height for complete creative freedom over a Swiper-powered carousel. Infinite Slider (Marquee) A continuous, seamless scrolling carousel for logos, partners, text, or any content. Add any Gutenberg blocks inside each slide using the companion Infinite Slider Item block. Supports grab/swipe dragging with smooth inertia, an optional image lightbox, vertical or horizontal direction, and adjustable speed and spacing. Post Slider & Blog Carousel Automatically display your latest posts, pages, or custom post types in a responsive carousel. Filter by category, choose the order and count, trim excerpts, show featured images, and link to full articles — all configured without code. Optional click-to-enlarge image lightbox. Logo Carousel & Partner Showcase Showcase client logos, partner brands, sponsors, or affiliates in a smooth, auto-scrolling carousel. Upload logos, control slides per view and spacing, enable grab/swipe, and turn on an optional image lightbox. Testimonial Slider & Review Carousel Build trust with social proof. Display customer testimonials and reviews with star ratings, author names, roles, and avatars in an elegant, responsive carousel. Video Slider & Video Carousel Present videos in a responsive carousel with thumbnail previews. Supports YouTube, Vimeo, and self-hosted videos, with inline or lightbox playback. Before & After Image Comparison Compare two images with an interactive, draggable divider — ideal for showcasing transformations, edits, renovations, and product effects. Supports horizontal and vertical orientations. Why Choose SlideVerse? Gutenberg-native – No shortcodes and no page builders. Everything works inside the block editor. Responsive by default – Every slider adapts to desktop, tablet, and mobile, with per-device controls. Touch, swipe & grab – Native gesture support on mobile and desktop, powered by Swiper.js. Click-to-enlarge lightbox – Open images in a full-screen gallery with previous/next and keyboard navigation. Full style controls – Background colors, padding, borders, typography, and spacing — responsive, with hover states. Multiple transition effects – Slide, fade, coverflow, flip, creative, and cards. Navigation & pagination – Arrows, dots, fraction, and progress bar, with full position control. Autoplay – Configurable timing, loop, reverse direction, and pause options. Please review their terms and privacy policies. Swiper.js (unpkg CDN) SlideVerse uses the open-source Swiper.js library to power slider functionality on the front end. The library files (swiper-bundle.min.js and swiper-bundle.min.css) are loaded from the unpkg content delivery network on pages where a slider is displayed. When a slider page loads, the visitor’s browser requests these files from unpkg, which means the visitor’s IP address and browser information are exposed to that service as part of the standard HTTP request. No other data is sent. Slidr
Slidr is a clean, simple, responsive and touch-friendly multi-purpose Carousel. It takes a different approach than most other carousel plugins on that it displays posts or custom posts instead of just gallery photos (but it can show gallery photos as well if you like). Its goal is to be as flexible as possible, allowing you to fully customize its appearance via CSS and override the default HTML output. You can even use it as a “vessel” to display your custom loops which could, practically, contain any content you like, from YouTube videos and Google Maps to Instagram feeds and Tweets! View the demo | Custom loop demos Features Responsive. Touch friendly. Can accept variable width – fixed height images. You can call it via a shortcode on posts, pages and widgets. You can use it instead of the default WordPress gallery. No need to mess with shortcodes – just enable “Slidr for Gallery” and start creating galleries as usual, the WordPress way! Supports cycling items (when at the end, clicking “next” loads the first item and so on, simulating a circular move). Autoscroll support. Customizable queries with more than a dozen of parameters. You can adjust the post type, number of entries, thumbnail size, order and many more. You can have different carousels with different queries and different parameters on a single page. You can call it conditionally, to load scripts and styles only when needed. It can display entries without photos. For example, you can show the titles and excerpts of your recent posts (or custom posts) and style them however you like. Using a special function you can override the text output for each item. For example, instead of the item’s title and excerpt you can show an icon, some static text or something else. You can add your custom class on each shortcode, to style each carousel differently. If you are a theme developer, you can pass your own default values through your theme’s functions.php for “Slidr for Gallery” option. Works on every recent version of all popular browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari) and it even supports Internet Explorer 8. A custom loop function allows you to use the carousel with your custom loops. That way you can practically use it to display any content you like (videos, content from feeds etc). View demos
