Payment Status Doctor for WooCommerce
Payment Status Doctor for WooCommerce helps store owners, developers, and support teams review WooCommerce orders where payment signals and order status may not match. The plugin focuses on manual, local diagnostics. It scans WooCommerce orders, highlights suspicious payment/status mismatches, builds safe support reports, and compares gateway-level health signals. Payment Status Doctor for WooCommerce does not change order statuses, capture payments, refund payments, retry payments, replay webhooks, or call Stripe, PayPal, or other external payment APIs. The plugin is intended for WooCommerce administrators and is available from WooCommerce → Payment Status. Scanner The Scanner tab reviews pending, failed, and on-hold WooCommerce orders for paid-looking signals such as transaction IDs, payment-looking order notes, and gateway payment signals. Orders to review are shown by priority, with a reason, dated note matches, masked transaction ID, order link, and previewable support report. A transaction ID alone does not confirm captured funds. Informational signals are off by default and always excluded from report mismatch totals. Case tracking Scanner starts with New cases. Mark a case Reviewed, Waiting for a response or False positive, or return it to New. Decisions are shared by users with WooCommerce management access. Opening a case alone does not mark it as reviewed. A decision applies to the payment signals and order details you reviewed. A later diagnostic change returns the case to New on the next scan. The plugin rechecks the order before saving and rejects stale decisions or conflicting changes from another operator. Views and CSV exports use the selected scan period and filters. Decisions do not change order statuses, payments or diagnostic totals. The latest 20 decisions per order remain visible in Scanner details and in the WooCommerce order editor, including when an order no longer matches Scanner. Review records contain order IDs, decision states, staff user IDs, UTC timestamps and keyed evidence fingerprints. Raw payment notes and full transaction IDs are not stored in the review table. Records survive deactivation and upgrades; permanent order deletion removes that order’s record. Uninstalling the plugin deletes its review table on each site. Reports The Reports tab compares orders with processing/completed statuses, possible payment/status mismatches, and other pending, failed or on-hold orders for a selected period. An order status alone does not confirm captured funds. Reports are generated from WooCommerce order data. A user-scoped diagnostic snapshot is cached for up to 30 minutes to export the exact results you reviewed. Free-form order note content is excluded. Gateway Health Gateway Health groups diagnostic results by payment gateway so store owners can see whether suspicious mismatches appear isolated to one gateway or spread across multiple gateways. Settings Settings control Scanner pagination, payment signal keywords, report display options, risk thresholds, and privacy/safety defaults. Privacy and Masking Sensitive data masking is always enabled. Tables, copied reports, copied summaries, and CSV exports avoid exposing customer personal data, full transaction IDs, raw order notes, billing addresses, shipping addresses, phone numbers, customer IP addresses, and raw gateway payloads. All analysis runs locally inside WordPress.
