Login Logout Menu & Redirect
Add a smart login/logout menu and send each user to the right page Add one smart Login/Logout item to a WordPress menu and choose where users land after signing in or out, without code. Start with the guided setup for a menu item and fallback destinations. Add advanced rules only when different users need different destinations. Start with the guided setup The four-step setup wizard can: Add or reuse a smart Login/Logout item in a classic menu or saved Site Editor Navigation. Set fallback destinations after login and logout. Hide the admin bar for selected non-administrator roles. Save the selected settings and check that WordPress can read them back. Report supported integrations currently detected on the site. The wizard does not configure third-party plugins, create integration rules, or simulate a live login or logout. Add redirect rules only when you need them Rules let different users land on different pages. Match a WordPress role, user, email, capability, or first login; an ecommerce purchase; an LMS course or group; or a supported membership level. The Matches field tells the plugin exactly what the selected condition should check. It changes automatically to a role, user, product, course, group, membership, or other relevant choice. Rules run in the order shown. The first enabled rule that matches the user and has a destination for the current direction wins. A rule with no login destination is skipped during login, and a rule with no logout destination is skipped during logout. Place Always (fallback) last when you want a final rule-based destination after more specific conditions have been checked. Incomplete rules can be saved as disabled drafts. WordPress menus and Site Editor Navigation For classic themes, open Appearance > Menus and use the plugin’s User Menu Links box. For block themes, open Appearance > Editor > Navigation and choose a plugin variation. Use these smart items instead of a normal Page or Custom Link so their URL and visibility can update dynamically. Login, Logout, Smart Login/Logout, Register, Profile, User Avatar, and Username items are available in both workflows. Before adding them, open Login & Redirects > Settings and review the first card, Default navigation URLs. It shows exactly where Login, Register, and Profile currently open. Profile, User Avatar, and Username share the same front-end profile/account destination. Login uses WordPress when its field is blank. Register stays hidden when registration is disabled and no custom page is set. For Profile, choose any front-end account page, including a LearnDash dashboard, or leave it blank to auto-detect BuddyPress, bbPress, WooCommerce, MemberPress, or LifterLMS. Without a page, Profile, User Avatar, and Username stay hidden instead of opening WordPress admin. The smart item shows Login to logged-out visitors and Logout to signed-in users. LMS, ecommerce, membership, and form integrations Conditions are detected for LearnDash, LifterLMS, Tutor LMS, LearnPress, WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, MemberPress, Paid Memberships Pro, WooCommerce Memberships, Restrict Content Pro, Ultimate Member, WishList Member, MemberMouse, and ProfilePress. Ordered rules also support the native WooCommerce, MemberPress, and LifterLMS login redirect filters. MemberPress native logout is supported. Gravity Forms User Registration, WPForms User Registration, and Elementor Pro Login can pass supported form logins through the existing rules. Gravity Forms and WPForms require their respective User Registration components. These bridges do not add new rule conditions. Avatar and menu visibility controls Add an avatar or username and choose from five presets. Adjust its shape, border, effects, greeting, and signed-in indicator. BuddyPress or BuddyBoss photos are used when available. Classic menu items can also be shown or hidden by login state, WordPress role, capability, membership, or device type. Testing, import, and privacy Use Tools > Redirect tester to preview which rule or fallback would win for a selected user. The tester does not perform a real login. Tools contains redirect testing and JSON export/import. Export settings and rules as JSON. Fresh installations start with activity collection disabled. If enabled, records stay in WordPress and are not sent to LMSCrafter. Masked IP collection needs a separate opt-in; retention is 1 to 365 days. Sites using full-page caching should verify that logged-in and logged-out navigation is not cached as one shared page.
