Also, there's currently a 500 following limit for each user. The Chatter Unfollow Rules app makes it easy to create rules that save everyone in your org from those issues! Create rules to remove followers from records that match your criteria. Example rules: - Unfollow closed cases 10 days after they close - Remove all followers from closed opportunities 5 days after they close - Stop following leads with 555 in the phone number - Unfollow contacts without @ in the email address - Remove followers on opportunities less than $1000 This app is perfect for any company that uses opportunities, cases, leads, accounts, contacts or custom objects. It supports almost all standard and all custom objects. Note that you cannot unfollow people with this app - that would be mean :( Install the unmanaged version if: - You want to change the code - You want to alter tests to work with your other apps - You don't care about automatic bug fixes or upgrades

When users follow a record, they see updates on their feed based on the fields the administrators configured for feed tracking, for example, Lead Status. Eventually, the Lead status is moved to ‘Closed-Converted’, but the user is still needlessly following the record. Records like this soon add up to the user’s limit of 500, preventing them following current records that need their attention. Following hundreds of records also leads to too many notification emails, resulting in ‘notification noise’ and failure to notice the ones that matter. The Lightning Following Report tracks all the records you follow in one place and gives the ability to follow/unfollow without scrolling through the chatter feed. It’s used by CRM users to track and manage the records they are following, and by Administrators, to manage records followed by their users. The Lightning Following Report is a Lightning Web Component and installs as a Lightning item on the App Launcher. My domain needs to be enabled to install the app.
