About Google Alerts News Feed
How Google Alerts News Feed works
This package contains a lighting component called 'Google Alert RSS Feed' which you can drop into either an Application Homepage or a Record Detail Page. If placed on a Record Detail Page you can specify the field on that object that stores the URL to be referenced, so you could have different news for each Account / Opportunity record. The package includes a custom field that is added to the Account object to stores this information, but the component can reference your own fields created on other objects.
This package builds on the work done in the Salesforce Labs RSS Viewer application.
Key features
- Google Alerts allows you to tailor the news you display from a huge number of sources on the internet.
- Includes the ability to reference a field on the record that holds the Google Alerts URL, so different records can display different news feeds.
- Component is styled similarly to the Salesforce News component, so provides both a list and carousel view,
